Riva looks simple.
Getting her there wasn’t.
We wanted a bandeau that felt clean and feminine without relying on ruching, ties, removable straps, or extra detail to make it interesting.
That put almost everything on the shape.
The first versions weren’t quite right. Some felt too straight across the body. Others had more structure than we wanted. Small changes to the cup shape and lower band completely changed the way the top looked once it was on.
So we kept reworking it.
The goal became a longer, more sculpted bandeau with enough shape to flatter the body while keeping the front almost completely uninterrupted.
That restraint made the details matter even more.
We refined the curve of the cups, narrowed the lower band, worked through the back construction, and removed anything that competed with the silhouette. No decorative piping. No unnecessary hardware across the front. No removable cups shifting around inside the suit.
The bottom went through its own revisions.
We wanted the leg high, the front softly scooped, and the back cheeky without sacrificing the way the piece actually sits and moves. It took more than one version to find the balance.
Riva taught us something we’ve come back to throughout Collection No. 001:
Simple is not the same as easy.
When there are fewer details, there’s nowhere for proportion, fit, or construction to hide.
That’s exactly what we like about her.
